I am always looking for just the right eyebrow stylist. My friend turned me onto my latest fav place to go for styling. It doesn’t consist of me driving to NYC and dropping $70. Nor do I have to go to a local high-end spa or salon. All I do is stroll along the streets of the shopping mecca, Greenwich Avenue and walk into Benefit.

When you walk in the store it’s bright with soft pink girlie hues, friendly and inviting. Literally! All the young woman who work there love chatting with you and they remember your name! Another good reason to go, if you’re into having your brows styled, is the price,$35. Not bad compared to some other places I’ve been.

Once my brows had the perfect shape they had me meet with the make up stylist. She introduced me to the cutest mini sized brow puffer, Benefit’s Gimme Brow. It has an innovative brush-on fiber gel that sticks to skin & hair. Oh yeah, almost forgot, it comes in different shades. Apparently it’s the latest and greatest thing coming out for the brow! Love being up to date on the latest make up craze.

Cuisinart Griddler

In my everyday cooking quest to be a chef I decided I needed a two sided griddle grill like the one all the guest and celebrity chefs use on the Today Show.

As I discovered, it looks cool on top of your stove and makes you feel professional, but the reality is, it smokes up your kitchen and it’s hard to clean. It’s not so pretty and functional, like the one I see on the Today Show.

A friend told me about the Cuisinart Griddler. I asked how it compared to my stovetop grill and my old favorite, ( from city apartment living) the George Forman Indoor Grill. She said it’s the best because it’s so easy to clean, you can pop the grills out and put them right in the dishwasher, “oh joy!” I said! With that testimonial, I took my plethora of Bed Bath and Beyond coupons, (that I never seem to know what to do with) splurged and went to buy it!

Well, now that it is my new favorite kitchen appliance, I wonder how the Today Show gets along without it???

To Spin Or Not To Spin

So I’m currently on “spin cycle”, as I like to say about my current workout obsession. I think I have tried all the Soul Cycle spin classes in my suburbia. It’s always a fun workout event to go to Soul Cycle. Here are the ins and outs of the different locations. Scarsdale has a pretty good location with easy parking, only a block away, but those stairs get me every time (I know there’s an elevator, but I’m going for a workout remember!).  Then there’s Greenwich, always great to be by the Avenue, but let’s not talk about the parking. Just recently, they opened one in Rye Ridge Shopping Center; well…the parking is perfect!  Currently, the most convenient spin is right in my little hamlet of Armonk, at The Gym.  The instructors are great and so is the workout!
